Driverless Cars

Autonomous vehicle tech is amazing. Order your car to pick you up. Tell it to pick your kids up. Pickup a delivery from your Amazon pickup point. Ride a car while watching a movie. All while avoiding accidents, lowering insurance costs and increasing leisure time.

There will be social effects from the mainstream use of Autonomous vehicles including increased traffic from empty vehicles not doing ride-sharing, elimination of jobs at Uber and Lyft, and eliminating truck drivers.

But beyond the societal impacts of such a change of tech in our world, let's also give a heads-up on what we just made here.

Autonomous vehicles are intelligent AI based Robots in the body of a car with 4 wheels. There's not much of a change to put the same tech in a smaller human sized machine that can act as a Robocop or an observation (surveillance) drone on land. Don't be blindsided. Robotics have arrived in a big way. This will explode. It has to. Beyond the obvious implications of machine robotic soldiers (which is in the works), let me just drop a hint. SKYNET.
